Cancer study catalog
Sources, licence and method
Where the records come from
Each record is the meta_study.txt file of a study in the public cBioPortal DataHub repository at commit e1b75cd25bf7436d16719b7d76117ad8f3f66e54, synced 2026-10-31. EvidenceLib reads only that file. It does not read or republish mutation, clinical, sample or patient data, or publication full text, and it does not call the cBioPortal API.
Licence and attribution
DataHub is available under the ODC Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0, which requires attribution and share-alike. This catalog is attributed to cBioPortal DataHub and is offered under the same licence. TCGA data are available under the Broad Institute GDAC TCGA Analysis Pipeline License; TCGA-derived records are preliminary or legacy releases. Study-level metadata only (title, description, cancer-type code, citation, PubMed ids). No patient, sample, mutation or clinical data, and no publication full text, is included. Individual studies may carry their own terms; follow each study's source links before reusing its data.

How studies are grouped
The source's cancer-type code is shown unchanged on each study. The cancer families on this site are EvidenceHelix's own grouping, derived from keywords in the study title, because the source codes are not consistent enough to group by. Studies whose titles match no family are listed under "Multiple or not classified from the title".
Limits
This is a catalog of studies, not an analysis. It does not give mutation frequencies, cohort sizes or clinical interpretation, and a study's absence here does not mean it does not exist.
